TASSIE HOLIDAYS PROMOTED ON GERMAN RADIO
Tourism Tasmania has just wrapped up a three-week campaign promoting the State on Germany’s biggest public radio station SWR3.

SWR3 campaign bannerThe promotion comes after Tourism Tasmania hosted 75 German competition winners
and a radio crew for a
week-long tour of Tasmania
during November last year,
where SWR3 broadcast live to around 3.1 million German listeners each day.

For this latest in-market promotion, Tourism Tasmania joined with Qantas and Aussie Specialist tour operator, Karawane Reisen, to promote Tasmanian package holidays on prime-time radio.

From 7-28 April, SWR3 broadcast the Tasmania advertisements twice daily, during the peak morning and evening timeslots.

The campaign is a part of Tourism Tasmania’s international marketing strategy to increase the awareness of the State in Germany, particularly for nature and outdoor activity lovers.

The on-air promotion was supported by a strong online campaign, with Karawane Reisen creating a dedicated website (www.allestasmanien.de). The German homepage of Tourism Tasmania’s consumer website, also features direct links to Karawane Reisen/Qantas Tasmanian holiday specials.
