More Growth for Tas e-Connect

Tasmania continues to grow its online tourism capabilities with 357 Tasmanian tourism operators now receiving live, online bookings and instantly updated inventory through the Tas e-Connect Open Booking Exchange (OBX).

Tourism business connected to the OBX can present live inventory, availability and pricing direct from their compatible reservation system to a multitude of travel distributors including your own website.

Some of the top online distributors of Tasmanian products and experiences through the OBX are Discover Tasmania (discovertasmania.com), Discover Australia (discoveraustralia.com), Wotif.com, Totaltravel.com and the Hobart Visitor Information Centre (hobarttravelcentre.com).

The latest results show business transacted through the OBX continues to rise, with Tasmanian operators collectively receiving more than $339,595 worth of bookings during the month of November. This brings the total value of Tasmanian business through the OBX since June to $1.36 million.

If your tourism business operates one of the following reservation systems (or associated systems) then your system can be integrated to the OBX. The currently compatible systems are: RoomMaster, RMS, Fidelio, Respax, Frontdesk, Seatem, and JBS.
