New Managing Director of Tourism Australia

The Minister for Tourism and the Arts Michelle O’Byrne today congratulated Andrew McEvoy on his appointment as the new Managing Director of Tourism Australia. 

“Tourism is a major industry sector and employer in Australia and while our nation continues to be ranked among the most attractive and preferred destinations in the world the current global economic climate presents a number of challenges,” Ms O’Byrne said.

“Andrew’s tourism background is very impressive and his experience will stand him in good stead to meet those challenges in the months and years ahead.”

“I wish Andrew all the best in his new role,” Ms O’Byrne said.
