Marketing and development for Tasmania’s tourism industry

Tourism Tasmania promotes Tasmania and Tasmanian tourism product to those international markets that provide the best return on investment, namely the United Kingdom and Europe, North America, New Zealand, Asia and Japan, and Korea.
Tourism Tasmania aims to position Tasmania as a preferred holiday destination to target market segments and to match their holiday needs with Tasmanian holiday experiences.
It promotes the values and key experiences of Tasmania through co-operative campaigns and promotions with partners including airlines, tour operators, wholesalers and inbound tour operators as well as the in-country trade.
Tourism Tasmania also provides opportunities to educate international travel buyers and to help them experience Tasmania and Tasmanian tourism product through sales calls, trade missions, workshops and familiarisations.
It also delivers online information to target markets using country specific home pages on the www.discovertasmania.com website and provides support to Tasmanian based operators wanting to develop and market their tourism product or experience internationally.
